Christmas cheer

Today my chambers in Little Lonsdale Street are having their Christmas lunch. There have been some good tales, fine wines, and hearty food.

As we have been regaling the past year, and toasting the year ahead, thousands of delegates are meeting at Copenhagen, and the omens for a planet-saving outcome are poor.

The Australian government has been the target of particular criticism. Our carbon output is high, our figures are rorted, and yet we claim to be taking action on the climate.

This is not leadership: it is digging a deeper hole for our children.

Why I am standing for the seat of Melbourne

Welcome.

I’m inspired by creativity, and caring for the environment is vital to me. I aspire to the ideal of democracy: the belief that all people should have the right to be heard and included in the decisions that will govern their lives.

I am standing as the Greens candidate for the state seat of Melbourne in the upcoming Victorian state election.

I will be posting updates and items of interest to this blog.
